--What is Feng Shui?--

Feng Shui (pronounced "fung shway") is an ancient Chinese method to change, guide, or direct the energy around your living space. "Living space" could be your desk, your room, your home, your house, or your estate! You can apply Feng Shui techniques to small areas are large areas - both work.

Have you ever walked into a grand cathedral and felt the energy of the place? Perhaps the height of the ceiling or the fine detail of the statues or the shapes in the tile caused you to feel something. Or on a more down-to-earth level, have you ever walked into a store and felt cramped or annoyed, because the merchandise was packed in too closely or the lighting was bad or the ceiling was too low... Both of these are examples of basic Feng Shui.

Feng Shui literally means "wind and water" in Chinese, but it actually involves five elements: air, water, metal, fire, and wood.

So in summary, Feng Shui is arranging things in your living space to make your living space feel better. Or in Feng Shui-speak: to improve the Chi.
